No, candidates cannot change their category once they have registered for the NEET UG Counseling process.
The eligibility criteria for NEET UG counseling includes qualifying NEET UG, obtaining the minimum required percentile, completing the internship, and fulfilling other criteria as specified by the counseling authority.
After NEET UG exam, NTA declares the qualifying score for candidates. For NEET 2023, qualifying score was 137-720 for general category, 107-137 for OBC/SC/ST categories. MCC conducts online admission process for All India seats for All India/Deemed/Central Universities, where qualified candidates can apply choosing preferred colleges and UG courses. The process continues for several rounds. After All India, State conducts admission process for the state quota seats.
